Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD, is a highly treatable biopsychological disorder that occurs in a significant number of children. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), there are 4.4 million youth between the ages four and seventeen that have been diagnosed with the disorder by a healthcare professional, and over half that number are currently receiving prescribed medication for the disorder.
